While it’s still a bit too early to tell (we’ll keep updating this story), forecasters are keeping an eye on the chances of a White Christmas in the greater Seattle area.
Snow blankets Northeast, breaking records in some states
KIRO 7 Meteorologist Nick Allard said there doesn’t appear to be a weather pattern to set up for a White Christmas in the lowlands. But if precipitation moves in, there could be a small window for snow mixing with rain.
Ahead of next Friday, moisture and warmer temperatures are sticking around.
Allard said rain returns again Friday night and into Saturday morning as an atmospheric river moves across the area. The Puget Sound region will get 1-2 inches of rain over the weekend. A drier period will start on Tuesday.

Snow levels will climb to 5,000 feet and rivers will rise to near flood stage.
