A Puyallup man accused of stabbing and robbing a woman in October 2012 after impersonating a UPS driver to get into her home has been charged.

Brian Han pleaded not guilty to assault, burglary, and robbery.

“The defendant dressed as a UPS delivery man, forced his way into the victim’s house, assaulted her, duct taped her, and then ransacked the house,” said Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist.

Authorities said they were able to arrest Han five months after the crime because a confidential informant came forward with information.

Lindquist said detectives also found cut up credit cards and a jewelry box they were able to connect back to the victim.

“That was a really big whodunit and obviously people were worried with the holiday season coming in that we had someone pretending to be a delivery driver,” Pierce County Detective Ed Troyer told KIRO Radio’s Ron & Don Show.
