FBI searches for escaped Montana convict in Washington state

The FBI is searching for a convicted felon and registered sex offender who fled Montana after attacking a woman and a police officer and might be in Washington state.
Kevin Anthony Briggs, 28, is wanted for state charges of aggravated assault, attempted sexual intercourse without consent, assault on a peace officer, and escape.
Briggs was arrested in Bozeman, Montana after a woman reported he had attacked her and attempted to strangle her. He allegedly resisted arrest and hit an officer in the face before he was subdued, but escaped as he was transferred to the jail.
Authorities believe Briggs purchased a one-way bus ticket to Spokane, Washington, on February 1, 2014, from Missoula, Montana. Information developed during the investigation suggests he could travel through Washington state or to Oregon, California, and/or Mexico.
He is considered armed and dangerous, suicidal and a flight risk and has violent tendencies, the FBI says.
Briggs is a white male, 5’5 to 5’7 weighing 120 to 150 pounds. He has a sunburst tattoo around his right nipple, a tatto in his armpit and a tattoo in his lower lip. He also has a double “snake bite” piercing on his bottom lip.
