Firefighters have put out a blaze that broke out at a Bellevue home that belongs to Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez.

710 ESPN Seattle’s Shannon Drayer confirms Hernandez’s family was not home at the time of the fire. Hernandez and his wife were reportedly in Napa, California while the children were in the care of a nanny. They stayed away for awhile in a nearby car.

The Bellevue Fire Department posted several pictures of the fire on its Twitter feed, showing firefighters containing the damage and preventing the fire from destroying the house.

The fire broke out around 3 p.m. at the home on Northeast 1st Street. Crews from Bellevue, Redmond, and Mercer Island responded.

The home is reportedly valued at over $2.85 million.

No word yet on what caused the fire.
