First Ave. in Seattle closed for fatality investigation

One person is dead after a hit-and-run crash between a vehicle and a cyclist.

Police say a 61-year-old man was killed at First Avenue South and South Andover Street Tuesday morning.

According to witnesses, the driver of the vehicle was traveling northbound on First Avenue when the cyclist was hit. The driver, according to police, continued driving northbound.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

A search for the suspect is underway. There is no vehicle description.
