At least four dead in shootings across Seattle during the long weekend

Over the long weekend, two shootings left four people dead and at least two injured, according to police reports.

The first shooting Monday afternoon happened in Everett, Wash., with police responding to calls of multiple shots fired at 2000 block of Lexington Ave.

Major crimes detectives are investigating, with two dead and 1 hospitalized. Officers are still working to identify the suspect.

A man in his 40s with a gunshot wound was found by police in the doorway of the house. He was taken to Providence Medical Center. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

Two other men were found inside with gunshot wounds, lifesaving measures were administered but both were declared dead at the scene.

Murder Charge In Deadly Shooting of Innocent Bystander

Investigators say they are still working to identify a suspect who left the scene before the police arrived, and are asking the public to call the Everett Police Department Tip Line at 425-257-8450 with any relevant information.

The second shooting occurred in Wallingford early Tuesday morning when officers responded to a call made at 1 a.m.

When a KIRO 7 News crew arrived at the scene at the intersection of Meridian Avenue North and North 48th Street, next to a playground, two bodies could be seen in the street.

SPD confirmed a man and woman were killed, ages unknown.


The circumstances of the shooting are unknown at this time.
