A confrontation between two motorists ended in gunfire, but no injuries in Arlington on Monday.
Shari Ireton, with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, says the incident involved a motorcyclist and a person in a vehicle traveling on Highway 9.
“The motorcyclist felt the person in the vehicle tried to run him off the road,” says Ireton.
The motorcyclist then followed the other driver to his home.
“The homeowner told him several times to leave. Eventually (he) went inside the house, got a handgun, again asked him to leave. The motorcyclist did not. He fired one shot into the ground,” says Ireton.
After the shot was fired, the motorcyclist called 911 and authorities responded.
“Deputies came on the scene and talked to both of the parties. They investigated,” says Ireton. “There were no witnesses and no physical evidence. No one’s been injured. No arrests have been made.”
