King County Sheriff won’t face alleged rape charges

King County Sheriff John Urquhart won’t face criminal charges connected to a woman’s claims that he allegedly raped her nearly 15 years ago when she was drunk.
The King County Prosecutor’s office says the alleged assault is beyond the criminal statute of limitations, and even if it wasn’t, there’s not enough evidence to support criminal charges.
In a recent interview with KIRO Radio’s Ron and Don, Sheriff John Urquhart denied her allegations.
The former deputy who made the assault claims told The Seattle Times she standing by her story.
