A love triangle in Pierce County ended with one man shot on Monday.
Police say the 52-year-old suspect had parked outside the home where his wife and her new boyfriend were staying. The homeowner walked out of the house to confront the husband and eventually shot him.
“He exited the residence with a handgun and as the subject was getting out of the car, shot him multiple times,” says Pierce County Detective Ed Troyer.
Troyer says deputies had previously been called to the home Sunday by the woman and her boyfriend who said they were being harassed by her husband.
“It’s been an ongoing feud over a love-triangle type situation that we’re still investigating,” says Troyer. “Our detectives are trying work their way through it now to see what led up to the feud over the last few days and why the shots were fired.”
The 52-year-old victim is in serious condition at a hospital with two gunshot wounds.
No arrests have been made.
