Seattle police arrested the man suspected of setting his girlfriend on fire.

Man allegedly threw ‘unidentified fluid’ on girlfriend, lit her on fire and fled

John Turner was arrested Tuesday in a downtown Seattle shelter, according to police. A witness recognized Turner from an online post about the case and called 9-1-1.

Turner is suspected of throwing a flammable liquid on his girlfriend before lighting her on fire.

The woman suffered burns over 20 to 30 percent of her body and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The incident occurred in the Brighton neighborhood on Sunday, according to Seattle police.

Detectives will interview Turner about the case before booking him into King County jail.
