Olympia has made its pitch. The union machinists have had their say. Now legislatures around the country are putting their bids together to win the Boeing 777X. On Monday, it’s Missouri’s turn.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon is hoping to get a $150 million annual package of tax breaks and incentives out of his legislature to win the 777X sweepstakes.

Missouri is in the running with Washington, California, South Carolina, Utah and other states to build the new plane.

St. Louis has the largest Boeing workforce outside the Puget Sound, with more than 15,000 workers. It is the headquarters for Boeing’s Defense, Space and Security operations.

Boeing has given states until the Dec. 10 to develop their pitches.

The company says it will make its decision in early 2014.
