Nearly a dozen vehicles crash on I-5 in Bellingham

A crash involving at least 11 vehicles has shut down northbound I-5 in Bellingham.
The Washington State Department of Transportation reports the crash occurred shortly after 8 a.m. near Lakeway Drive.
At least one person was hospitalized with unknown injuries.
Just after 10 a.m., WSDOT reported the left lane of northbound I-5 and the Lakeway Drive on-ramp reopened. Law enforcement closed all lanes again shortly before 11 a.m. They reopened completely minutes later.
UPDATE: There's currently a 1.75-mile backup from this crash blocking all lanes of NB I-5 in Bellingham. Get off @ SR 11/Old Fairhaven Pkway & detour through town to avoid delays. pic.twitter.com/YJSTLicBQ4
