One of ‘Tuba Man’ killers arrested again in Seattle drug bust

One of three young men convicted in the 2008 beating death of Ed “Tuba Man” McMichael has been arrested again, this time on drug charges.
Kenneth Kelly, 20, was arrested Sunday night for dealing crack cocaine in a park next to the King County Courthouse, according to Seattle police Det. Renee Witt.
Kelly was just 15 when he was convicted along with Billy Chambers and Ja’Mari Jones, both 16 at the time, for robbing and beating McMichael, 53, Oct. 25, 2008 near Seattle Center. The man famous for playing his tuba outside events later died from his injuries.
Kelly was sentenced to up to 36 weeks in juvenile detention at the time, The Seattle Times reports.
He was recently released from prison for his 2012 conviction on an unlawful firearms possession charge.
Chambers, who has had frequent problems with the law since serving his sentence in the beating, is currently serving a six year federal prison sentence for a weapons violation.
Jones is charged with second-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting last year at a Bellevue bar. He is being held in lieu of $5 million bail.
Kelly is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond after a Monday afternoon bail hearing.
