A woman was rushed to Swedish Hospital in Edmonds after being struck by an SUV on Highway 99 in South Everett Thursday evening.
Trooper Mark Francis, with the Washington State Patrol, says the woman was trying to cross the highway just north of the Mukilteo Speedway.
“The female pedestrian was standing on that median, one of those raised concrete yellow curb things, where they’re not supposed to be, and according to the witness, the pedestrian stepped right in front of the Toyota Highlander, which was headed southbound.”
Francis says the witness reported the woman was struck by the side mirror of the vehicle and dragged underneath the SUV.
There is no word on her condition.
