State troopers arrested a driver accused of hitting and killing two pedestrians in Bothell.
Alec Gajdos was driving his silver Chevrolet Malibu along SR 524 near Nellis Road on Friday around 5:30 a.m. He later told troopers he believed he hit a garbage can and continued to work without stopping.
Troopers were reviewing surveillance footage at a nearby gas station when Gajdos stopped in on his way home from work. A trooper was made aware of a car outside with substantial damage.
Gajdos was question and detained. He was later booked into Snohomish County Jail for two counts of felony hit and run.

A reminder— as of right now— 12:40p— @wspd7pio says there is NO vehicle description of the car that left 2 pedestrians dead in @CityofBothell. Troopers are unsure how long the people had been laying off the side of the road before they were found. It could’ve been several hours pic.twitter.com/2mRL3Zbvos
