Puyallup man arrested for allegedly killing friend with frying pan

Jul 18, 2013, 8:30 AM | Updated: 10:57 am

They can’t find the body, but prosecutors say they have enough evidence to prove that a Puyallup man killed his friend with a frying pan.

Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist says authorities were alerted to the crime by a friend of the suspect.

“A witness came forward to police and reported that a friend of his had killed another friend of his.”

Lindquist says the defendant actually invited the witness over to his house to help clean up after the murder, but the witness declined to help and called police.

The witness told authorities when he was invited to the suspect’s home, he saw a body and blood stains, with blood spattered on the walls.

“When the witness saw the body, the head was covered with a garbage bag, but he knew it was a human body, a leg was sticking out from under a blanket,” says Lindquist.

Court documents say the witness also saw a frying pan on the floor with a broken handle, and the suspect told him he “went through a couple of pans.”

Lindquist says police found blood and other evidence at the home the suspect shares with his mother.

The suspect was arrested, but has not yet been charged.
