Scammers robocall posing as Northwest Harvest

Northwest Harvest wants you to know: If you get a robocall from them asking for a donation, hang up.
It’s a scam, being perpetrated by crooks somewhere out of state. Northwest Harvest spokesperson Deborah Squires told KING 5, “I’m angry, I’m just, frankly, angry, because people here are passionate about our mission and we take it personally.”
Northwest Harvest, which is dedicated to feeding the hungry, never solicits donations using robo-calls. So if you get one, ask for their information.
Before you make donations to anyone who calls you, you’re encouraged to check them out on websites like Charity Navigator or Guidestar.
