The Seattle School District wants Wi-Fi in all of its schools, and it’s going to ask voters for more money to make it happen.
The district says wireless internet would open up new teaching tools and learning opportunities for students.
They anticipate it will cost over $11 million to outfit every school in the district with Wi-Fi.
The Seattle Times reports the district plans to add the Wi-Fi plan to the $700 million construction levy that it hopes to have before voters in February.
The levy would add about a $100 a year to the property taxes of Seattle homeowners.
