Seattle woman’s arm caught in noodle-making machine

Nov 8, 2013, 2:47 PM | Updated: 2:49 pm

A day after a man’s arm was severed in an accident at a Seattle fortune cookie company, a woman was caught in a dough-making machine at a noodle house on Capitol Hill.

“Essentially, a spike from this dough-making machine impaled her arm and she was trapped,” said Seattle Fire spokesperson Kyle Moore.

Moore said they began cutting through the stainless steal tumbler to free her, but realized that was going to take too long.

“The quickest solution was to cut one of the spikes that was still in her arm and transport her with the spike still in her arm,” said Moore.

The 22-year-old woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
