Shoreline police searching for third suspect in series of armed robberies, assaults

Oct 4, 2012, 6:43 AM | Updated: 7:54 am

Shoreline police are looking for a third suspect in a series of armed robberies around Shoreline and Seattle.

Shoreline Police Chief Shawn Ledford says several of the attacks happened outside of casinos late at night or in the early morning hours. He says the suspects have used a handgun in the robberies, typically taking victims’ cash or jewelry.

Ledford says they’ve already arrested two men they believe to be responsible for at least 18 attacks, some involving sexual assaults.

“In two of the cases, they kidnapped the female victims. In one of those kidnappings, they sexually assaulted the victim,” says Ledford.

Police are still looking for the third person believed to be involved in the attacks.

All the suspects are facing charges of first-degree robbery, kidnapping and rape.
