Super Bowl bet pits Star-Lord against Captain America

The Super Bowl matchup has set rival Marvel superheroes against each other with sick kids the winner regardless of who prevails.
Lake Stevens native Chris Pratt, who played Star-Lord in the smash-hit movie “Guardians of the Galaxy,” is a hardcore, lifelong Seahawks fan. After the Seahawks stunning NFC Championship win Sunday, Pratt got in a good-natured Twitter exchange with fellow actor Chris Evans, a who plays Captain America in the hit Marvel movies and is a devoted fan of the New England Patriots.

That exchange led Evans to challenge Pratt to a super-sized wager.
A Seahawks win would bring Captain America to Seattle to visit the kids at Seattle Children’s Hospital, while a Patriots victory would lead to a visit from Star-Lord to Christopher’s Haven, a Boston-based nonprofit that provides housing for the families of kids undergoing cancer treatments.

So the gauntlet has been thrown down. And won’t it be fun to see Captain America and Russell Wilson delight the kids at Children’s Hospital in the near future?
