7 newborn pit bull puppies found abandoned in a bag on Tumwater roadside

Seven pit bull puppies, believed to be 2 days old, were found abandoned on the side of the road in Tumwater on Monday morning.
At 5:44 a.m., Caring Hearts 4 Paws received a message from a man on Facebook reporting that he saw a bag on the side of the road that was moving as he drove down 93rd in Tumwater.
The man pulled over to search the bag and found seven pit bull puppies inside it. The puppies appeared to include five boys and two girls, all about 2 days old.
Caring Hearts 4 Paws noted that their umbilical cords were still attached, and the cords were still drying up and falling off.
The pit bulls were unable to receive food because their body temperatures did not register on a thermometer. Caring Hearts 4 Paws kept a feeding tube nearby as the puppies warmed up in an incubator.
“I do plan to take them to the vet later today,” Caring Hearts 4 Paws stated. “I am recruiting experienced and experienced only bottle feeders once I know they’re going to be safe.”

A 1:50 p.m. “pupdate” confirmed that all seven puppies had made it to a local veterinarian and were being evaluated. Shortly after, all seven pit bulls’ temperatures had improved, and they were able to be bottle-fed.
“We know it’s not Friday, but in light of the seven precious babies found dumped in Tumwater this morning, we’re doing $5 Friday a little early this week,” Caring Hearts 4 Paws stated. “Any help is greatly appreciated. Please don’t forget to share!”
