Police say two men were critically wounded in a shooting Wednesday night in south Seattle’s Rainier Valley neighborhood.
“Both victims have life-threatening injuries,” said Detective Mark Jamieson with the Seattle Police Department. “They are currently at the hospital.”
One of the victims was able to flag down an officer about 11:30 p.m.
“One victim was able to get down to the intersection of Rainier Ave S. and S. Austin St., and the second victim ran around the corner,” said Jamieson.
The 37-year-old victim located on Austin St. suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The second victim had gunshot wounds to the stomach and leg.
Both were taken to Harborview Medical Center.
SPD reports they recovered a number of shell casings in the 4800 Block of S. Austin. Homicide detectives processed the scene and have begun their investigation.
