20-year-old skateboarder hospitalized after hit-and-run in South Lake Union

A hit-and-run collision seriously injured a 20-year-old skateboarder early Wednesday morning, sparking a Seattle Police Department (SPD) investigation.
At approximately 5:27 a.m., a witness called 911 and reported a hit-and-run collision in the 800 block of Harrison Street, SPD announced.
A driver struck the male skateboarder while traveling westbound on Harrison Street, according to the witness.
Seattle police are looking for a red, newer-model Acura sedan
The driver ultimately fled the scene in their vehicle, driving northbound on 8th Avenue. Witnesses described the vehicle as a red, newer-model Acura sedan.
Seattle Fire Department medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
