Teen arrested for DUI, passenger ejected through sunroof in Thurston County crash

A 16-year-old driver is in custody for alleged DUI and vehicular assault after a single-car crash ejected the passenger through the sunroof, the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office reported on Wednesday.

The collision occurred off Yelm Highway SE, and the passenger who was ejected from the vehicle has been transported to the hospital.
The sheriff’s office is in the process of obtaining search warrants for the driver’s blood and alcohol containers visible inside the car.
