Seattle mayoral candidates Jenny Durkan and Cary Moon held their final debate Friday morning on Seattle’s Morning News with Dave Ross.
KIRO Radio hosts on who should be Seattle’s next mayor
Durkan, a former U.S. attorney, and Moon, a city planner and civic activist, finished as the top two candidates in the 21-candidate primary election in August. They are both seeking to replace former Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, who resigned in September following allegations of sexual abuse.
Durkan, 59, has pulled in record donations and support from both unions and business. She grew up in Issaquah and served as President Barack Obama’s United States Attorney appointee between 2009 and 2014.
Moon, led the People’s Waterfront Coalition’s fight against the tunnel to replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct. The urban planner, engineer, and civic activist has pulled in support from The Stranger and activist groups in Seattle.
