It’s Impeachment Eve, and I know I should be eagerly anticipating the coming trial, but instead I’m going down internet rabbit holes.

Ross: Impeachment about more than what Trump deserves

More documents came out over the weekend, including text messages that seem to back up the Ukrainian ambassador’s claim that she was under surveillance.

So I said, OK I better read through these. And sure enough the messages say things like, “She’s next to the embassy … Private security, been there since Thursday … They will let me know when she’s on the move … hey broski tell me what we are doing what’s the next step.”

It turns out these were messages from someone I’d never heard of – a Dutch man named Anthony – and they were sent to someone else I never heard of, a Republican Congressional candidate named Robert Hyde, who forwarded them to someone I had heard of, Lev Parnas, who was working with Rudy Giuliani, who everybody’s heard of.

Ukraine the real winner in impeachment hearings

That led me to a video of this Robert Hyde sitting on a couch, saying he’d been set up, demanding that Adam Schiff release the other side of the text conversation.

“Come on Adam Schiff!” Hyde exclaimed. “Who was providing me that intel of me in the Ukraine spying on Marie Yovanovitch? You’re a scumbag Adam Schiff!”

Who is this man? Is this performance art? A deep fake? Can you follow this? Can any one follow this? Good luck, Senators. And remember – no talking.
