What’s developed over the weekend is that we now have dueling impeachment investigations.

Ross: Figuring out a better method than impeachment

We all know President Trump has never believed that Russia was responsible for interfering in the 2016 campaign. But I don’t think many of us understood how determined he was to prove it.

It turns out he directed his attorney general back in May – right after the Mueller report came out – to start a counter-investigation that now extends from Britain to Australia, and from Ukraine to Italy.

According to The New York Times, Attorney General Barr went to Rome last month, to investigate a man described as an “Italian operative handled by the CIA,” who allegedly dangled dirt about Hillary Clinton to someone with the Trump campaign in 2016.

As for Ukraine, it now appears that the real significance of that phone call was not just the attempt to get something on Joe Biden, but that it was just a small part of this second worldwide impeachment investigation: The President’s personal attempt to impeach the FBI and the CIA.

Don’t let details get in the way of a good Trump tweet

We are witnessing a race here: A taxpayer-funded sprint to see whether the House can impeach the President, before President impeaches the entire Mueller investigation.

And if this upsets you, you just have to remind yourself that it’s those checks and balances that make America great.
