Popular TikTok creator warns Seattle area of dangerous felon ‘looking for love’

May 23, 2025, 2:30 PM

One TikTok creator has focused her platform on a unique social networking website.

Ashley, who goes by @ashkatpod on TikTok, shares profiles from WriteAPrisoner.com, where anyone can connect with a prisoner. However, she is warning the Seattle area of recently released Philip Baldwin, whose profile says he is “looking for love.”

“One of my followers sent him as a recommendation story,” Ashley told “The Jake and Spike Show” on KIRO Newsradio. “So, when I looked into it, I noticed he was getting out the very next day. And when I saw his charges, I was like, ‘People need to be warned about this guy.’ I mean, he’s a serial rapist, and he also has previous convictions of domestic violence and breaking no contact orders when he was a juvenile, he exposed himself on three different occasions. I mean, this guy is just ongoing.”

Ashley cited a 2010 Seattle Times story about Baldwin in her TikTok video.

“Philip Baldwin, the guy who’s released out in Seattle, he reminds me just of the Ted Bundy story,” she told “Jake and Spike.” “It’s, I mean, it’s there.”
