Bill Kirk Exposes Judge Ian Birk's Ruling in Divorce Case
A man caught his wife having an affair with her CEO. He told the CEO's wife. He told the company. He told the sister-in-law. And a Washington court ruled all of it was "harassment" — stripped his gun rights, issued an anti-harassment order, and disarmed him despite zero evidence of any threat.
Bill Kirk of Washington Gun Law joins John Curley to break down the full case and explain why it matters: the judge who upheld that ruling on appeal was Ian Birk, who is now running for Washington State Supreme Court Position 4.
Kirk says Birk conveniently left out the portion of the statute that explicitly protects constitutionally protected free speech from being classified as "harassing conduct." Without that line in the ruling, the rest of the legal argument falls apart.
