Senator Jesse Salomon Calls Out His Own Party on Drug Laws
State Sen. Jesse Salomon represents a stretch of North Aurora Avenue in Seattle, and his stepmother and father live three blocks off of it. He joined The Jake & Spike Show to talk about a drug treatment proposal that would have dismissed possession cases after successful treatment but imposed 45 days in jail for people who didn't complete it.
The House stripped the accountability portion. Salomon says they failed and that looking the other way while people die on the street isn't compassion and isn't humane.
