Kite Festival Taking Over the Skies in University Place
Spend the day looking skyward during the annual Kite Festival, which is returning to University Place’s Chambers Creek Regional Park between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Aug. 1. The free event features professional kite demonstrations, family kite-flying opportunities, inflatables, food trucks, vendors, and all-ages activities. The first 250 children in line will also receive a free kite while supplies last. Find out more here.
Annual Rainier Music Festival Returns Next Month
Head to Ashford County Park on Aug. 1 for the sixth annual Rainier Music Festival. The all-day event will feature Pacific Northwest artists performing rock, reggae, blues, and soul, plus a litany of food vendors. More information about the mountainous event can be found here.
Sunflower Days Blooming Soon in Sumner
Thousands of blooms will be on display as part of the Aug. 1-16 return of Sunflower Days to Sumner’s Knutson Farms. The farm will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is welcoming visitors to stroll through its U-pick sunflower fields.
