Ursula Has The Answer

After nearly 40 years in radio, I've learned that everyone has a story and nearly all of them start with a question.

Ever wish someone would just listen … really listen?

Hi, I’m Ursula Reutin, co-host of “The Gee and Ursula Show,” and I’m thrilled to introduce my new advice column, Ask Ursula. After nearly 40 years at KIRO Newsradio, I’ve learned that life is full of questions, and most of us just want to be heard.

This column and video series is about connection! Real people navigating family, friendships, work, and all the messy, beautiful moments in between.

You can ask about struggles, everyday life, or even the fun stuff, like your next getaway or your favorite scent.

What You Can Expect

This isn’t a column about politics. It’s about people — their relationships, families, neighbors, and lives that don’t fit neatly into one narrative or another.

You can ask about:

– How to navigate family dynamics
– How to find balance between caring for aging parents and your own kids
– How to build a friendship after a falling out.
– How to deal with burnout, boundaries, or even that quiet ache of loneliness that sneaks in when life looks “fine” on the outside
– Or — on a lighter note — where to go for a weekend escape, which perfume might become your new signature scent, or where I’ve found the best cheap eats and splurge-worthy restaurants around Puget Sound.

I won’t pretend to have every answer, but I do have a lifetime of perspective. I’m half Filipino and half German, a naturalized U.S. citizen, one of five kids, married for more than three decades, and mom to two grown sons who somehow managed to become kind, capable adults despite my lousy cooking. I’ve lived in multiple countries, owned multiple homes, worked multiple jobs, and managed to stay (mostly) sane through it all.

Write to me here or at askursula@bonneville.com and let’s connect.
