Seattle is once again considering sanctioned homeless camps — but this time, advocates argue the model must fundamentally change. After years of boots-on-the-ground outreach, Andrea Suarez of We Heart Seattle is calling for “stabilization camps”: 30-day, clinically driven triage sites designed to connect people to detox, psychiatric care, and transitional housing.
