Seattle's Tiny Protest Pens Are PEAK Seattle

Welcome to Seattle: where ahead of the FIFA World Cup matches, the city set up designated "protest zones" near Seattle Stadium — tiny little pens for people to express their First Amendment rights in a safe, contained space.

The only problem? The protesters didn't use them. They walked around the stadium with bullhorns and signs like protesters normally do. Meanwhile, international visitors found the empty pens hilarious — and turned them into accidental "step and repeat" selfie zones, posing for pictures in front of what was supposed to be a serious civic structure.
