Seattle Schools Limit Screen Time to 30 Minutes
Seattle Public Schools is limiting screen time to 30 minutes a day for kindergarten through second grade and ending individually assigned iPads for those students. The changes will be fully in place by January 1, 2027.
Superintendent Ben Shuldiner says the pandemic-era reliance on technology made sense five years ago — but schools are open, kids are playing and learning, and those vestiges just don't belong anymore.
