SPD Won't Describe the Bite of Seattle Shooter. Why?

Two weeks ago, Charlie Harger reported on the silence from SPD about the Bite of Seattle shooting. The silence has only gotten louder. On Tuesday, Councilmember Rob Saka asked Interim Chief Andre Sayles directly whether a killer is on the loose. Sayles said he couldn't say yes or no.

SPD will tell you a Georgetown stabbing suspect wore an orange jacket and blue jeans. They will not tell you what the Bite of Seattle shooter or shooters looked like. And the mayor's office and a department spokesperson now appear to be telling different stories about who directed the silence in those first hours. The next round of public records isn't expected until October.
