White supremacist propaganda appearing around Seattle

A group identified as white supremacists by the Anti-Defamation League is hanging posters up around Seattle.
On its own Twitter account, Identity Evropa published photos of propaganda at the University of Washington on Feb. 25 and Tacoma on March 2.

The West Seattle Blog reported that posters were seen near West Seattle High School and the Hiawatha Community Center on Sunday. Others were reported along Admiral Way. A person who sent the blog a photo of a poster counted at least seven.
At the end of last month, a “unity rally” was held at Eastern Washington University in response to the white supremacist group’s propaganda. Students said it was “evidence of deep-seated racism on campus and the broader community,” The Spokesman-Review reported in February.
Identity Evropa and other white supremacist groups appear to increasingly be targeting school campuses and surrounding areas. The Anti-Defamation League reported in February that was the case, recording 147 incidents between Sept. 1, 2017 and Dec. 31, 2017. It was a “staggering” increase over the 41 incidents reported during the same time frame in 2016.
The University of Washington was also targeted with neo-Nazi posters in February 2017. Other groups in the region have experienced similar incidents, such as a Jewish temple in Seattle.
The states with the most propaganda reported on campuses are Texas, California, Pennsylvania, Florida, Virginia, and Ohio, the ADL reports. Identity Evropa is the most active group.
