Police: Teen arrested in connection with attack on Asian man in Tacoma

A teen was arrested Friday in connection with a video of an Asian man being attacked in Tacoma.

According to Tacoma police, the suspect is 15 years old. He was taken into custody on suspicion of second-degree assault.

The video had been shared several times on social media, causing an outrage. Although the video only went viral this week, the assault happened in November.

The victim, a Korean man, sat down with KIRO 7′s Kevin Ko and said, “I just don’t understand why I was attacked.”
