Gee Goes Off: "Help the People Who Don't Commit Crime"

Seattle City Attorney Erika Evans has launched "Connection Court" — giving people accused of nonviolent misdemeanors 90 days to access drug treatment, job support, health benefits, and peer services instead of being prosecuted. At the same time, she's drawing a harder line on repeat offenders: three charges in three months, or six in six months, and you could face tougher jail recommendations and be blocked from diversion entirely.
