Governor Jay Inslee is expected to announce his presidential campaign plans on Friday. But he already has no shot at the presidency with literally zero support in a new poll. Worse news for Inslee: this isn’t an outlier national poll.

According to a new Morning Consult poll, taken between February 18 and 24, Inslee comes in dead last, even behind potential candidates that seldom go on TV or radio and aren’t even being legitimately thrown around as potential winners.

Leading the pack of preferred candidates nationally is former Vice President Joe Biden (29 percent), followed by Senators Bernie Sanders (27 percent), Kamala Harris (10 percent) and Elizabeth Warren (7 percent) Inslee is at the very bottom with 0 percent, edged out by former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and former Attorney General Eric Holder (1 percent each).

It gets slightly — literally slightly — better when you look at early primary states Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada. In those states, Inslee has earned a staggering 1 percent of the vote. Biden and Sanders? They have 30 percent and 27 percent respectively.

Other recent polls show Inslee does no better. According to a recent Monmouth poll, when voters were asked who they would support for the nomination from the Democratic party, Inslee earned a < 1 percent. In the most recent Harvard-Harris poll, Inslee doesn’t even register.

Inslee makes frequent appearances on cable news networks, including MSNBC and CNN, where Progressive voters flock for news coverage. Inslee has made himself a single-issue candidate, campaigning exclusively on climate change as a Governor who has no significant legislative accomplishments here in Washington. That message is connecting with almost no one.
