Rantz: Unhinged Seattle activist videoed during terrifying tirade

A Seattle environmentalist unloaded in a lengthy, unhinged tirade against a conservative. It was all caught on video.
Todd Myers had just testified against a greenhouse gas emissions bill in front of a Senate committee in Olympia. Myers is the Director of the Center for the Environment at the Washington Policy Center. On his way back to his car, an activist identified as Michael Foster approached Myers, ready for a verbal confrontation.
After being yelled at, Myers turned on his phone to record the interaction. It wasn’t pretty.
Terrifying rant
Foster yells at Myers, calling him a “(expletive)… you monster…” at the top of his lungs in the video embedded below (warning: language). He goes on:
You deserve to suffer and die and suffer in hell as much as all the billions of lives and lifeforms that will suffer more because of your words. Because of your rhetoric and your debate-team tactics at twisting the truth and making a buck. Yeah. I don’t know how you can live with yourself making a buck off of damage to biology.
It started in the Senate committee after the testimony. Foster had testified directly after Myers. Afterwards, Myers says Foster “jumped up and got two inches from my face and started calling me all sorts of names.”
Conservative college student harassed, stalked by Seattle activist
“I asked one of the ushers, one of the guards outside, ‘Can you get this guy away from me?'” Myers told the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH. “And they said, ‘Look, just walk away.’ So I walked away and he followed me.”
Foster followed Myers for at least six minutes, most of which was caught on cell-phone video.

Safety was a concern
As Myers videoed most of the interaction, he became concerned for his safety.
“I’ve had people challenge me, and that’s fine, and I don’t mind that,” Myers said. “But this guy was following me and I was getting close to my car, and I was starting to get worried about what he would do when I reached my car.”
Over the course of the conversation, Foster vacillated between passionate arguments in favor of environmental positions he holds and deranged shouting.
Who is Michael Foster?
Foster is an environmental extremist who is well known for outlandish stunts to bring attention to whatever specific cause he’s fighting at the moment. He is a co-founder of 350 Seattle, a radical environmental group responsible for last week’s traffic jam.
Members took to the streets of downtown Seattle in protest of JP Morgan Chase investing in fossil fuels. Some cars were stuck in traffic, others drove around the protests, probably contributing to more carbon emissions had the climate group not pulled their stunt.
Members of 350 Seattle routinely break the law to make their political points. Members are willing to go to jail for their political cause. In 2018, Foster did significant jail time. He was sentenced to one year in prison for his role in turning off the TransCanada’s Keystone pipeline.
What’s terrifying to Myers is that Foster may have influence with Seattle politicians and Democrats across the state.
“They [350 Seattle] work with the city of Seattle all the time,” Myers cautioned. “They work with other environmental groups, so he’s part of a major environmental group that has influence in Washington.”
