Firefighters are battling flames that have spread to multiple homes as well as trees on Vashon Island.

The fire is in the 19000 block of Sunset Road Southwest on the west side of the island. It was reported just before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

A Tacoma fire boat is being used to help get the flames under control.

Chopper 7 was over the scene at about 4 a.m. Though it was still dark outside, flames could be seen. Our helicopter will be back up during daylight hours to get a look at the damage.

There have been no reports of injuries.
