Patrick Duffy (Dallas, Step by Step) and Linda Purl (Happy Days, The Office) join Seattle's Morning News to talk about Duffy's Dough — a sourdough product with a remarkable backstory and a bigger mission.
The starter dates back to 1952, when Patrick's mother was given it by a kind older woman in Fairbanks, Alaska, who claimed it came up with the gold miners during the Alaska Gold Rush. More than 75 years later, Patrick and Linda have turned that family heirloom into a product available in Kroger stores — including QFC and Fred Meyer here in the Puget Sound — with all profits going to fight food insecurity.
