Charlie Harger's truck, Big DeeDee, is a 2012 Ford F350 diesel that gets 11 miles per gallon. His round-trip commute from Auburn to KIRO in Eastlake was costing him roughly $11,300 a year — just in fuel. Then he leased a Subaru EV. Same commute, about $850 a year.
