One year ago tomorrow, Charlie Harger started doing a daily commentary on "Seattle's Morning News." To tell you where this really began, he has to go back to 1989 — the freshman year of high school, a student newspaper called the Gaelia, and an opinion column called "Charger Chat."
A year in, Charlie reflects on what he's learned — why he focuses on local issues instead of national politics, why he keeps his eye on whoever's in charge, and why the criticism comes from the same place as the love.
