Another Trump staffer bites the dust

Another Trump staffer is leaving. Normally, you wouldn’t call that news, you’d call it Wednesday.
How do you change a toxic culture?
But this time it’s his Chief economic adviser Gary Cohn, who lost his fight to stop those big tariffs on steel and aluminum.
It means the president will stick with his tariffs. If that means other countries slap a tariff on our Kentucky Bourbon, bring it on.
So now President Trump needs a new economic adviser. I think I know just the person. Here’s a hint.
“We have lost 60,000 factories. Got that?”
He doesn’t mince words.
“The trade agreement with China was an unmitigated disaster.”
He agrees with the president on what makes America great.
“Can you be a great country when everything you buy is made in China?”
And he knows how to make a threat.
“Every major corporation in America wants all of us to buy their products. Well, if they want us to buy their products, they damn well better start manufacturing those products in the United States.”
He’s feisty, he’s healthy, and his office is just up the street.
Any guess on who it is? Here’s another hint.
In the meantime, the rest of us will do our part. If the world slaps a tariff on Kentucky bourbon, we will drink it ourselves! Then the stock market can gyrate all it wants. We’ll just take a sip and call it Wednesday.
