A giant Boeing jet accidently landed at a tiny Kansas airport last night. The runway is technically too short for the plane to take off. But they're going to try to take off anyway. // Afghan president Hamid Karzai is urging tribal elders to support a security deal with the United States that would keep thousands of American troops in the country for another decade. // The new chair of the state GOP party, Susan Hutchinson, is upset that she's being paid $20,000 less than her predecessor Kirby Wilbur. In a memo obtained by the Seattle Times, Hutchinson says the pay cut plays into the war on women narrative against Republicans. // People who eat nuts regularly are less likely to die of cancer or heart disease, according to a 30-year Harvard study. The Tom and Curley show enjoys a round of almonds.
