New Traffic Signal Coming to Hood Canal Bridge Area
Neighbors north of the Hood Canal Bridge know the struggle—more than 300 bridge openings a year can trap them in their neighborhoods, unable to find a gap in traffic to get onto SR 104. Now WSDOT is stepping in with another fix.
A new traffic signal on northbound SR 104 approaching Paradise Bay Road activates Monday. The meter will only turn on during periods of heavy congestion, creating gaps so drivers coming off Paradise Bay Road can safely enter the roundabout WSDOT installed as part of these improvements.
