Revive I-5 Update: Your On-Ramp Is Coming Back
Good news for South Lake Union and Capitol Hill drivers—the Harvard Avenue East on-ramp to northbound I-5 is scheduled to reopen Monday, Oct. 12. The ramp has been closed since July when Revive I-5 work resumed on the northbound Ship Canal Bridge after the World Cup. It's the only northbound I-5 on-ramp between Mercer Street and the University District.
But drivers will need to be careful. The merge will be shorter than usual, and you'll need to get over to the left side of the freeway quickly. WSDOT says there's still some room, but watch for gaps.
As for the rest of Revive I-5, work on the Ship Canal Bridge is on schedule and expected to wrap up by late fall.
